Introducing Nano Banana Pro

Google DeepMind has just launched Nano Banana Pro, a cutting-edge image generation and editing model built on the powerful Gemini 3 Pro foundation. This advanced tool empowers creators to transform their ideas into studio-quality designs with unprecedented control, improved text rendering, and enhanced world knowledge.

With Nano Banana Pro, you can generate highly accurate, context-rich visuals by leveraging enhanced reasoning and real-time information. It excels at creating educational explainers, infographics, and diagrams based on your content or real-world facts. The model can even connect to Google Search’s knowledge base to help visualize recipes or real-time information like weather and sports.

One of the standout features is its exceptional text generation capability. Nano Banana Pro produces images with perfectly rendered, legible text in multiple languages, making it ideal for mockups, posters, and international content. You can create detailed text with diverse textures, fonts, and calligraphy, while also localizing and translating content for global audiences.

The model offers upgraded creative capabilities for high-fidelity visuals. It allows blending up to 14 images while maintaining consistency and resemblance of up to 5 people. Whether turning sketches into products or blueprints into photorealistic 3D structures, you can bridge the gap between concept and creation with seamless branding across all touchpoints.

Studio-quality creative controls put advanced editing power directly in your hands. You can select, refine, and transform any part of an image with improved localized editing. Adjust camera angles, change focus, apply sophisticated color grading, or transform scene lighting—from changing day to night to creating bokeh effects. Your creations are platform-ready with various aspect ratios and up to 4K resolution.

Nano Banana Pro is now available across Google’s ecosystem. For consumers and students, it’s rolling out globally in the Gemini app when selecting ‘Create images’ with the ‘Thinking’ model. Free-tier users get limited quotas, while Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers receive higher allocations. Professionals can access it in Google Ads and Workspace tools like Slides and Vids, while developers can build with it through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and Google Antigravity.

Transparency remains a priority with SynthID digital watermarks embedded in all AI-generated media. The Gemini app now includes a verification tool where you can upload any image and ask if it was generated by Google AI. While free and Pro tier users will see a visible Gemini sparkle watermark, Ultra subscribers and Google AI Studio users get clean visual canvases for professional work.

This represents a significant leap forward from the original Nano Banana model, offering sophisticated results for complex compositions while maintaining Google’s commitment to responsible AI development and user transparency.
